The National Weather Service in Little Rock has issued a * Flash Flood Watch for portions of CENTRAL ARKANSAS, NORTH CENTRAL ARKANSAS, and WESTERN ARKANSAS, including the following areas, in CENTRAL ARKANSAS, Conway, Faulkner, Garland, Lonoke, Perry, Pope, Pulaski, Saline, White, and Yell. In NORTH CENTRAL ARKANSAS, Baxter, Boone, Cleburne, Fulton, Independence, Izard, Marion, Newton, Searcy, Sharp, Stone, and Van Buren. In WESTERN ARKANSAS, Johnson, Logan, Montgomery, Polk, and Scott. * From Friday evening through Sunday morning * Heavy rainfall is expected to develop from northwest to central Arkansas Friday night through Sunday morning. Storm total rainfall amounts are expected to climb into the 4 to 6 inch range which will allow for flash flooding across parts of northern and central Arkansas. * Low-lying and urban areas will be the first to flood. If you have plans to camp across Arkansas this weekend, do not camp in low-lying areas or near dry creek beds, and make sure you have a way to receive weather warnings. Flash flooding will be likely in the terrain of the Ouachita and Ozark Mountain areas.
