Please complete the following application for consideration to be enrolled in the Dover Virtual Academy for the 2021-22 school year. One form will need to be completed for each student. The Digital Learning Memorandum of Understanding can be viewed at the link below and will be signed upon admittance. The Memorandum of Understanding lists requirements to be admitted into the virtual program, as well as those to remain in the program. Once your application is received, it will be reviewed by our administration and you will be notified about your child’s eligibility determination.
2.0 GPA (or equivalent for lower grade levels) required for acceptance into program.
All Dover Virtual Academy students must earn a minimum of a 2.0 grade point average on their progress report each marking period. If a student does not maintain the required 2.0 GPA, a probationary period will be implemented by the district to allow time for the student to achieve the required minimum 2.0 GPA by the end of the 9 week marking period. If after the probationary period the student does not achieve a 2.0 GPA, he/she will not be allowed to continue through the Dover Virtual Academy.
All Dover Virtual Academy students will be required to participate in state interim and summative testing at the appropriate building of which the student is assigned by grade or school zone. Additional periodic assessments may also be required. Testing will be coordinated through the Dover School District Testing Coordinator and/or the virtual facilitator.
The Dover Virtual Academy student may only make changes each nine weeks to their educational programming.
